Two-piece systems only fit when the flange size on the pouch matches the flange size on the skin barrier. Hollister Conform 2 uses 45, 55 and 70 mm; HDL-Hendry uses 50, 60 and 70 mm. The two ranges are not interchangeable.
The closed pouch is designed for formed output, most commonly a colostomy. It clicks onto a 60 mm HDL-Hendry base and is replaced when full rather than emptied, so it suits people changing once or twice a day.
HDL-Hendry flanges are 50, 60 and 70 mm and do not fit Hollister pouches, which use 45, 55 and 70 mm. The base and the pouch always have to come from the same range and carry the same number.
We currently stock the closed pouch in 60 mm. If your base is 50 or 70 mm, tell us and we will confirm what is available before you order.
An HDL-Hendry two-piece base with a 60 mm flange. It will not fit a Hollister barrier.
It suits formed, predictable output changed once or twice a day. If output is loose or frequent, a drainable pouch is usually easier.
